Passport To Wealth has probably come across your computer screen if you have done any kind of research for home based businesses or online business opportunities. And since you have come across it you are probably wondering if Passport To Wealth can actually help you produce a significant income from home or if it is just another “just like every other internet business” you find online now. Is it really a “passport to wealth” or is it a passport to nowhere?
What is Passport To Wealth
Passport To Wealth is an internet based business, started by Darren Gaudry, that can be run from home or anywhere you choose really. The whole idea of the opportunity is that you can start a business that is automated and runs even if you are at work or on vacation. That is one of the advantages it has over many network marketing businesses. The products are electronic so can be downloaded in seconds or minutes and don’t have to be shipped. You don’t even have to know they are being ordered because the customer can find your product online and download it without even contacting you. Passport To Wealth says they have $75,000 in product available for customers to download, which is awesome. The problem with it is that anyone doing any kind of research on the product can find them many other places online and for cheaper sometimes. When you are researching a business on of the most important things about the product is that they are exclusive to the company you are considering partnering with. Not all the products need to be exclusive but at least some of them do so the customer has to come back to you for the product or can refer others to you specifically. So, in doing research about Passport To Wealth I found that the ebooks and software they offer for download, while good, are not exclusive and are already over marketed by many companies out there.
Compensation Plan
The pay plan must be so good then that people can look past the over marketed products, right? Well, lets take a look. Passport To Wealth uses a common compensation plan in network marketing called the “2 up” or “pass up” program. What this means is that after spending money to partner with the company and spending time and money on advertising for your new business, your first two sales of about $2000 goes directly to your sponsor. If that isn’t discouraging enough the next thing that happens is you “break away” from your sponsor and begin earning the sales for yourself. The biggest problem with this is that your sponsor has NO financial interest in helping you succeed after the “break away”. This causes no team work with your upline and will eventually create no team work or synergy with your downline, everyone is in competition with each other. Part of long term success is continued team work, and the “2 up” compensation plan definitely does not promote this.
The Conclusion
The conclusion is that Passport To Wealth is not a scam or pyramid. They have legitimate products to move to the consumer, even if they are over marketed. They also do teach some valuable skills in online marketing and automation, but there are programs out there for the same price that have more in depth training to offer with much more synergistic compensation plans that promote team work. Experienced marketers may find success with this program but will always be stuck finding and training new partners that then break away and are stuck finding and training more new partners in a never ending cycle. For this reason I chose not to get involved with Passport To Wealth and found other companies that promote team effort and success.
